Tom Jahns' Sticks & Stones Rustic Furniture
LOVESEAT - This particular piece is made of cherry & peeled willow.
I also make loveseats from alder (very twiggy with branches woven
around the back), vine maple (weathers well), filbert & various other
saplings & combinations thereof. Usual dimensions: 48"w  x 28"d x
54"h.  My bentwood furniture is cross braced in every direction, I
pre-drill & screw the frame, arms & backs round the cut edges &
coat  these with urethane immediately.
Philosopher's Stone Table. Made from hand peeled maple and a rock
from the river that flows thru my property. Each table is unique, but I
can make one for you that closely resembles this in any reasonable
size.
The Ancient One. So named because the seat is a slab of cedar over
2,000 years old. The back of the bench is from a live cedar tree I dig
up, hand peel and invert. The rest of the bench is also cedar. Each
bench is unique, but I can make one for you using the same techniques
and materials - any size. Other examples on web site.
Beds are fun!  Building a bed lends it self to lots of creativity. Once
you have the basic structure complete, you have a blank canvas that
can be"painted" with only your imagination (and room size) to limit you.
I can work together to create you a truly unique bed.
I also can create just the headboard.
Destiny Chair. This is my most popular bentwood chair design. I can
make it from  filbert (above), black cottonwood (tan & twiggy), vine
maple, maple & red dogwood (spring) or alder (brown & twiggy) or
combinations thereof. 32"w x 54"h x 26"d.
Rock-in Chair. Usually made from peeled maple, but I can leave bark
on. And yes, that is a river rock seat. I strive to make these
"comfortable" so that it is a functional art "peace". These end up in the
entry way, corner of a room or garden path. 72"h(or so)x 26"w x 24"d
approximate. One of my favorites!
Reaching For the Light Chair. Made from live cedar trees I dig up and
hand peel, giving the chair a natural luster. Each chair is one of a kind,
but the technique I repeat to create similar pieces. Approximate size
72"h x 34"w x 30"d.  My favorite.
Northwest Table. A customer favorite! I can make this design any
size.  Above is 72"l x 24"d x 32"h. Top usually from finished boards, but
customers often choose glass, especially for coffee tables. Yes,
another river rock in the branches. Each table similar, but unique. The
most popular sizes are 22" x 22" or 30" x 22".

A warm welcome to my web site and thank you for visiting! I usually sell my furniture at art shows &
galleries, and are frequently told by clients and artists that my rustic/natural furniture is the  best they
have ever seen anywhere. They say it is obvious I put our heart into my work and that it has a certain
discernible spirit about it. If this is true, it is a gift from the real Creator, and because I take the time  to
do it right.  I will let my designs speak for themselves - and my five sons , who have  used and abused
our personal furniture - attest to its durability. If my furniture is placed in your home and subject to
normal use, it will last for generations. I make CHAIRS, LOVESEATS, ROCKERS, BENCHES, BEDS,
TABLES, CHAISE LOUNGES AND MORE! I welcome CUSTOM ORDERS  - much of my work is one of a
kind. So please take the time to scroll down thru the pages of my site. I would be honored if you chose
to place some of my pieces in your home. Enjoy!!
